By The Navigator • November 21, 2009 • Filed in: TomTom ONE XL

Hey, guys blackfriday sale is entrance shortly as well as we have my heart set up upon these dual units since they have been comparatively cheap as well as suggest text-to-speech. we have examination both of their examination as well as they have confused me even more. we would similar to to know which the single would we guys prefer. we essentially devise to have use of it for invert as well as for occasional trips.

One thing garmin 255WT offers is the giveaway trade updates, so would similar to to know how in effect have been these updates since the little people pronounced which this giveaway trade refurbish didn’t advise them quick sufficient as well as they got stranded in trade whilst alternative says which giveaway trade refurbish works. Just would similar to to know would the trade refurbish work easily in Orange county/LA county area (California).

As distant as tomtom xl 325 goes, It’s usually 89 bucks during walmart as well as it offers text-to-speech.

Overall, we would similar to to know which the single is some-more manageable in conditions of appropriation heavenly body when branch ON, re-calculating when we have the wrong turn, worry of updating maps, as well as any alternative facilities special facilities which we have not listed here.

TomTom has ‘crowd-sourced’ map updates. Someone notices a mistake in maps, they can fix it and send it out to others. I don’t think any other maker does that. I don’t have personal experience with either unit, but from the looks of things, Target’s TomTom XL340S for $97 looks to be the better deal. The 340 is a little nicer and comes with a case that Walmart will be charging an extra $10 for.

So, between the two you list, get the TomTom…but try Target instead.

I was actually looking to purchase a GPS for my boyfriend, so I had the same questions that you had. In researching on line I came across a website that maybe helpful to you in making your decision. The website is called cargpsreviews.net. It doesn’t list the 325 but it does list the 340 and based on the other response that you got the tomtomxl 340 would be the best buy.

I hope you find what you are looking for. Happy Shopping
