I got a garmin nuvi for Christmas and it just keeps saying aquiring satellites, should I return it?

I live in the vital city so there should not be the complaint anticipating the satellite. we can module it though all it does is keep flashing the small automobile pitch upon the a single area we was in the couple of days ago….any suggestions? Do we call Garmin or lapse it to where it was purchased?

I have the garmin also… Everytime I turn it on it says searching for satellites, and it takes a whlie (like 7 mins) for it to find them, but after that it works perfect. If yours just says searching for sattelites, I would take it back and get a new one…. Maybe its a defect?
