Can education be enhanced with technology?

By The Navigator • November 22, 2009 • Filed in: GPS PDA

Hi all,

I am the Computer Engineering student, in my 3rd year of university. Me as well as my teammates have been competing in the record competition whose thesis is: Imagine the universe where "technology enables the improved preparation for all".
We have been now we do investigate upon this thesis in sequence to come up with an innovative as well as possibly thought for the contest.
The tangible resolution can embody ANY kind of hardware and/or program resources as needed. This equates to which no make the difference how furious the ideas competence spin out to be, we can set up them! Anything from motors, GPS locators, PDA’s, LCD screens as well as so upon can be used, so it’s only the make the difference of imagination. Also, there is no specific reduction upon what sort of preparation should be approached, so do not be concerned about that.

If we have any ideas upon this thesis we would severely conclude your suggestions.
Also, greatfully let me know of any preparation problems which we consider record competence be means to assistance overcome.

Thank we in advance!

problems associated witn induction of technology change with time and space.
technology is to facilitate education. it can not enhance its dimensions.
can you work out on some global screens.
a screen at an appropriate height in low orbits-guided by laser, can be read by millions.
it is not for working to have break-through in technology but it is to reach maximum.
hope so, you are able to understand my view point.
technology favours rich and prosperous but never involve all on egalitarian grounds.

Of course it can! The problem is, who is footing the bill for your dreams and ideas? Ideally, all students should have a laptop and access to the internet.

Technology could enable lower-socioeconomic populations!

It has been proven that power point does not enhance classroom instruction but responsible use of the tool can offer students with an outlet to create. The hands on implementation of any technology offers students from any socio-economic status an oppurtunity to learn. Science is enhanced by GPS, but English suffers from computer wod processing and internet resources. Dyslexia is less of a challenge because students are able to see the apporiate use of letters. I would recommend on focusing on a particular educational challenge… dyslexia, Autism, musular dystrophy, visual and audible challenges…. in order to limit the depth and braedth of your project goals.
